This is a rather odd post but I just wanted to share.
So a friend saw my Ned puppet and remarked that I have "deprived him of his manhood" to which I replied "I meant to only make a cute little puppet"
She kept insisting that I was cruel to Ned, saying that his "manhood" was what made him Rochester (and got him into messes in the first place).
I thought about whether what I did (unconsciously no doubt) was in essence what Bertha, Jane, and Charlotte do to Rochester. He ends up being incapacitated by the end of the novel.

Ken as anywhere near Ned: EWWWWW and indeed blasphemous.
But it serves well to compare them in this context nevertheless. I hadn't thought of the Ken connection before...
